The Best Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers to Own
Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were established in the year 2000 after merging the creative spirit of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have become a huge designer brand with retail locations all over the world, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.
I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an fantastic selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always felt the price was too high and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. Some time back, Adam was the one who was the early fan and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Having seen his in person and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re artisanal, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are deliberately worn-looking and made to seem broken-in, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have heavier wear than others, so the variation is wide.
If you’re choosing in person, it might be a good idea to ask to see a few of the same shoe and select from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to roll the dice!The pair of sneakers that I originally fell in love with first are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ggoose.org ended up getting the silver pair from Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have worn on and off over the years (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I genuinely adore them! I bought another pair the same and customized them with black laces and a burgundy star, so they’re really cute! I also own a pair of wine-toned velvet finish, and two pairs of taller silhouettes! I do definitely want a new black version, but I have a pair of Converse in black canvas, so I’m not sure I should double up, even though they’re different.
